Overview Presentation
Ballpark is an online invoicing, time tracking and CRM software for small to mid-sized businesses. It is a beautifully designed and easy-to-use business software that is more efficient than office suites in creating estimates, timesheets and invoices. Moreover, users can communicate with both internal staff and external clients using the same application. Clearly, it is a smooth blend of productivity tools that will allow anyone to run their small business with just one application.
Features, Benefits, Strengths
- Online Estimates and Invoices – Ballpark online invoicing and estimates software makes it easy for business users to start in the right direction. They can create quotes and estimates online, and everyone can provide comments and attach files, both the company staff and clients. Clients can then accept the estimate online, and the business user can mark it accepted and convert it to an invoice in one click. There is also an option to send the estimate in PDF format via email, and users can get email notification when clients give comments or feedback.
- Flexible Time Tracking, Mobility, and Dashboard– It has a time tracking feature that allows users to enter effort in hours through the built-in timer or manually by entering numbers. Time entered is tracked for a specific invoice. The software is available in native iOS, so users can still use the Timer and other features even when on the move. The Dashboard gives a quick summary of what is happening with all the rest of the estimates, time entry, and invoices.
- Business Reporting and Integrations – Ballpark’s reporting tool provides important details about payments, time tracked, and upcoming cash flow. Users will always be prepared with information that is accurate and relevant to running their business, so they can make the right decision in how they want to spend time on specific projects or clients. It also has integrations with Dropbox for file attachments, Freshbooks when importing quotes, and Stripe and Paypal for accepting online payments.

Why Ballpark
Freelancers, startups, and small business owners need more time to focus on helping their business take off and grow. However, they usually do not have the staff or resources to work on jobs such as preparing and monitoring estimates, timesheets, and invoices. And this is where Ballpark makes it not only possible but easy, affordable and efficient. Thus, they can truly focus on what their business is about.
Company Info
Ballpark is a product of MetaLab, a team of designers, developers, QA professionals, project managers and marketing experts based in Victoria, BC, Canada. The company was founded in 2006 by Andrew Wilkinson, who is the CEO and Creative Director of the privately held company. In 2008, when they were still a small three-man design agency, they were manually doing their estimates and invoices with a word processor. Realizing the inefficiency, they looked for a web-based invoicing app but did not find what they need, so they built one. After 8 months, they have a time tracking and invoicing software. In 2012, it was redesigned with the addition of estimates and simple CRM functionality to the existing features.
