It aims to streamline the leave management process by providing a centralized system for leave requests and approval, paid time-off balance accrual and calculation. It also provides a complete view of resource information: who is in the office, who is currently on leave, and who has upcoming leaves. Managers are able to make plans for work schedule, making sure efforts are constantly and consistently directed to achieve company goals without overloading available resources.

- Leave Request Management ‚Äì actiPLANS leave and absence management software is the automated way for employees to quickly and easily submit and modify leave requests, and for managers to give approval or disapproval. Shared charts also allow employees to see who is present and to coordinate leaves among themselves. The online and intuitive interface enables employees to monitor and control their paid time off (PTO) balance. The software also manages the communication regarding leave requests and approvals between employees and managers. Managers are able to track employee leave time more accurately and conveniently. A Leave Time History allows the viewing of a user’s history of the times and types of leaves taken in the past.
- Automatic PTO and Sick Day Balance Calculation – For both employees and managers, this leave and absence management software does the automatic calculation and processing of paid time-off and sick day accrual, balance calculation and usage. The software allows the setting and configuration of what the different PTOs will include, such as for vacation, personal and family illness, doctor appointments and others. A separate sick days balance is also possible, depending on specific company policies and practice. Manual correction is also possible for setting and correcting defined values.
- Email Notifications, actiTIME Integration, and Mobile Applications – actiPLANS has a built-in email notification feature for request approvers and regular users, with configurable message parameters. It integrates smoothly with actiTIME time tracking tool for a complete time and leave management system. Leaves are automatically booked in the time-tracking tool. Free mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms are available.
Pricing
actiPLANs is free for a small team of 5 users. On their online price calculator page, premium plans start with a minimum of 10 users. Payment periods can be per month, or every 3, 6 or 12 months, with advance payments resulting in lower prices. A maximum of 10 users on a monthly basis is priced at $2.10 per user per month, or a total of $21 per month. A free 30-day trial period is also offered.
