Quickbase Review: Features and Strengths
No-Code Development Platform
Quickbase provides users with a no-code development platform for building applications to manage all aspects and components of projects. Teams can quickly design, then create custom apps that connect people, data, and workflows in one tool to manage unique processes and projects. Users can create the exact views that show only the relevant information they need to act fast.
Its Sandbox feature allows users to test their applications without disrupting existing systems. Users can test and push application changes with minimum downtime. They can update an app, transform data, or change a database schema without taking a live app or data instance offline.
Pipeline Integration
Quickbase lets users connect information across systems into one central place to remove data silos. Teams can get better insight from real-time data to make the right decisions. Pipelines allow users to integrate across platforms, connect existing data, and avoid duplication of efforts. Users can make new connections in minutes using the drag-and-drop visual builder. They can visually orchestrate workflows across apps and third-party tools using pre-built integration channels or modern APIs.
Pipelines and integrations can be created to automate work that happens even outside a Quickbase application. And unlike some platforms that restrict this feature to a higher pricing tier, all Quickbase customers get access to Pipelines.

Case Studies
Bob Salaj is Senior Director at an electrical construction and maintenance service contractor based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. To optimize the business and set new industry standards for innovation, the company created a new Planning and Prefabrication division to design, build, and ship kits to the construction site. Unfortunately, it was struggling to control the prefabrication process using multiple copies of spreadsheets that caused incorrect orders and duplicate projects.
Bob suggested trying Quickbase and after a process-mapping exercise, the Planning and Prefab team was able to build a Quickbase app that can track prefab kits from the opportunity stage to the field installation stage. It provides users with automatic updates on orders, design, and status from real-time dashboards. It has become the central hub that connects critical systems using a single platform.
Vern Boyett is the CEO of a construction firm in Hayward, CA, specializing in drywall and door assemblies, and lath and plaster carpentry. As the company grew, it needed a way to ensure it delivered consistent quality across a growing number of jobs. It needed a project management system that centralized all aspects of every job in one intuitive app.
Quickbase replaces paper-based processes with an application that is more flexible, efficient, scalable, and less costly than out-of-the-box solutions. Its dashboards and automated alerts give users the right information at the right time they need it. Vern stated that when employees saw how information flows from the dashboards, they requested to have their own dashboards to receive also its many advantages.
