OrangeScrum Release a Host of New Features

They announced a new August release as a response on client requests and suggestions. Their goal is to provide the users with the most convenient tools and features thus enabling them to use the software as a great support in increasing the project productivity and in managing projects successfully. These new features bring enhancement in defining specific and unique tasks, enable easy login on Orangescrum and use Gmail contacts to facilitate team formation.

What’s New in the August Release

In order to fulfill expectations of their clients, OrangeScrum launched a new release in August. This new release makes the whole procedure of authentication simpler and convenient to use.

Signup/Login using Google РNow, login to OrangeScrum is possible by using only one single step – through Google connect feature. There is no need to enter an email when accessing Orangescrum.

Import Contacts from Google – This new release also enables the clients to import their Gmail contacts if they want to invite other people to their workplace.

Modern Kanban View The August Release introduces the more convenient design of the Kanban view with the better orientation and organization.

File Drag and Drop OrangeScrum goes further in simplifying task performance by providing Drag and Drop for files. Now, it is possible to respond to a task quickly by using the “drag and drop” function, and avoid browsing, searching and attaching the files.

The Getting Started Page – By adding the Getting Started page, OrangeScrum helps their clients to orient themselves easily and get the idea promptly about its basic features.

New Feature – Custom Task Type

Different companies have different inner organizations. Whether it is construction company, or maybe a medical or educational organization, there is a uniqueness and specificity in their tasks. For every specificity and the various needs among the companies regarding their tasks, OrangeScrum has developed a completely new feature in the form of a Custom Task Type. Now, every particular organization can define their own Task Type, and could define all the tasks belonging to that single type. Task Type represents Task Category and OrangeScrum offers the possibility to define the specific category in accordance with the company’s preferences.

How to Define a Custom Task Type:

The administrator of your company can easily define all specific tasks necessary for your job by following 5 simple steps.

  • Press the “Gear” icon placed at the top of the page
  • Select Task Type listed beneath Company Settings


  • There are 12 Task Types with an assigned number and there is the possibility to choose preferred Task Type through checking or unchecking of the box
  • Add a new Task Type by pressing the “+New Task Type” button


  • Check selected Task Types under the Tasks. All selected tasks should appear.

The Task Type page is available for only the Company Owner or Admin. However, all other users can access the New Task Types.

How to Sign-up to OrangeScrum using Gmail Account

In the OrangeScrum new release, there is a button “Signup with Google” that allows access to OrangeScrum with one single click. The OrangeScrum safety procedure makes the access to Gmail account completely secure. Now, tedious process with authentication can be avoided and there is no need to remember the password. OrangeScrum offers the choice to set e-mail and password when managing the Profile section.


How to Enter Gmail Contacts in OrangeScrum

OrangeScrum offers an absolutely safe and secure procedure to import contacts from a Google account, and makes it easy by following three simple steps:

  • When pop-up Invite User appears, press a button “Import Google Contacts” and then enter the login details.


  • Click “Accept” to enable OrangeScrum to access your Gmail contacts.


  • When the contact list appears, select the contacts that you want to invite. There is a possibility to add or remove the contacts by entering new email address and assign to project.


Being User-friendly is the Way to Go

OrangeScrum continues with their practice to manage flexible contact with the clients and taking care of clients’ needs. As they carry on with the software improvements, they encourage existing customers to share their experience with OrangeScrum.
