Twproject 6.3 Release With Integrated Chat, Gantt History, and more

Twproject online software is a team management and collaboration tool for today’s business and enterprise. It is a comprehensive solution that enables users to manage projects, resources, cost and documents to get work done. It is a modern tool that supports and promotes collaboration, either with internal team members or with external partners and clients. The latest release 6.3 brings many new features including an integrated chat, desktop notifications, Gantt history, and more.

Integrated Chat Tool

Version 6.3 released early this year now includes an integrated chat tool that allows users to communicate in real-time, stay connected, and share all that is needed to get things done. The tool helps simplify the way every person involved in the project or the company communicate with each other. Discussions can lead to decisions, and decisions can lead to tasks that need to be done. A chat can be quickly created from the project editor menu. It can include an entire workgroup or selected task assignees only. Colleagues can chat about work and other things, with the chat log visible to participants only. The chat tool is included for free in every plan.

Pinned Chat for Continuous Conversation

Twproject 6.3 release allows users to pin the chat tool on the screen. In this pinned mode, they can continue to communicate, send ideas, receive feedback, and exchange information while they continue working on their projects. Therefore, work proceeds within the context of what they are discussing and agreeing. This new feature also removes the need for other external communications tool, thereby preserving and centralizing project information in one searchable place.

Bug Icon and Desktop Notification

The new integrated chat tool includes time-saving features to help boost the team’s productivity. For example, while chatting with others, a user can capture an issue by going to the message and clicking the bug icon. This enables the user to create an issue without having to change or open another screen. At the same time, users who have enabled https will be able to receive desktop notifications if others send them chat messages. They will see at the top right page area the chat bubble icon with a corresponding number of notifications inside a small red circle.

Gantt History Slider

Also included in the latest Twproject release is the Gantt history slider. Users can click the clock icon in the Gantt page which will make the slider visible. They can then move the slider back and forth, which will also move the Gantt chart in time and show the users how the project has changed from the start. As they move the slider, they can pick a date and also see the status of the project at that date. Below every task, a small lighter bar will also appear that shows the progress. This feature is free for all customers with enterprise license.

Other Improvements

Many other improvements are included in this latest release. One of them is a special headlines filter. Users are able to see all their issues for today. This is intended to help them better manage their deadlines. Another improvement is the creation of a new task status called waiting. A task receives a waiting status from the application itself when it is dependent on the completion of other tasks. This reinforces another task status, which is the suspended status. A suspended task now does not trigger any alarm and is also not counted in a resource’s workload. Also, users in this release can easily customize the interface color and task status color as well.
