hightail logoOverview Presentation

Hightail is a cloud-based file sharing application for professionals and enterprises. Formerly known as YouSendIt until it was rebranded in 2013, it is a way to send and access large files from any device. From simple file sharing, it is now an enterprise content collaboration system where users can securely send up to 10 GB of files. Users do not have to worry about where to put their files when they have unlimited storage space. And they do not have to be on their desk to access it or share it with their team or clients.

Features, Benefits, Product Strengths

  • Send large files securely. When email is not a choice to send large presentations, photos or video files, Hightail provides a secure way to send up to 10 GB and still meet the deadline. It takes away the worries from cases that attachments are too big, recipient email systems are unable to accept, complicated FTP programs, or expensive courier services. By simply uploading the files to the company’s secure servers, the recipients will receive an email link for them to be able to download the files at their convenience. It also has an Outlook plug-in and a desktop app for easy file sending.
  • Work together easily. Its secure file sharing services meet the highest compliance requirements and pass strenuous tests of Fortune 500 companies. It protects data in transition with 128-bit SSL encryption and uses AES 256 encryption for stored data. The file owner has complete control of who can view, edit, or download the files, with history tracking and automatic expiration. With safety concerns out of the way, team members can simply focus on work. The desktop app makes it easy to share files with simple drag and drop.
  • Access files with any device instantly. Users can send, share and access files using multiple platforms. Whether using a desktop, a tablet, a smart phone or even within Outlook, it is easy to access one’s important files. The software supports iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone 8, Windows Tablet 8 and Samsung S-Pen systems. With the e-signature system, signing a document using the touch screen eliminates the need to print, sign, scan, and send back any important file.
