Features, Benefits, Product Strengths

  • Simple and secure file sharingClinked provides each account 1 Tb of storage space (each user can use as much of that space) where different kinds of files such as documents, images or videos can be stored, organized, and shared. Files can be viewed online without the need to download them first. Organizing and moving files and folders are very easy. Users are notified when uploaded files or folders are updated or removed. Version control features allow users to restore the version they need. Uploading multiple files and searching content even inside documents is possible. Secure 256-bit SSL encryption is used when accessing the portal, while different levels of user access can be configured.
  • Social and functional collaboration – Project files are not only stored and shared, but can also include feedback and discussion threads. Activity streams allow groups and project teams to constantly be aware and updated in order to complete critical tasks. Familiar social media @mention tagging and automated email reminders notify people immediately to request their attention or action. An online document editor allows users to instantly create and quickly collaborate on documents or web pages inside Clinked. Thus, creating an internal group or external client portal is simple and fast.

Company Info

Clinked was created by software development company Rabbitsoft Ltd., founded in 2008 and based in Cambridge, UK. It began as a Masters thesis by Rabbitsoft founder and CEO Tayfun Bilsel, a software engineer. Together with co-founder Victor Stekly, who is the CEO of a global manufacturing company, they agreed to develop an enterprise social software called Rabbit 1 mainly for Victor’s company. In 2009, Rabbitsoft was included in the prestigious Red Herring 100 Award, a list of startups across the world recognized as most promising technology companies. In April 2011, the renamed software project Clinked went into public beta and then launched commercially in November later that year. Since then, it has continued to add features which made it a very capable project collaboration tool.
