SavvyCal : Features and Strengths
SavvyCal includes a calendar overlay feature that allows schedulers to quickly find available dates and times using the app’s interactive interface. Instead of switching back and forth between the sender’s suggested time slots and their own calendar, the overlay easily shows both calendars to find mutual availability.
Users can create time blocks to quickly configure and control availability. They can also create naming conventions that correspond to calendar events. Users can set preferred times in a particular order within available windows, ranking preferred availability. They can offer multiple options on one scheduling link, with accompanying texts to help recipients easily pick a time.
SavvyCal can show the combined availability of teams with a round-robin option. It will randomly assign one of the team members as the organizer based on the availability of the chosen time. Collective scheduling also shows combined availability so recipients can book a time when a group is available.
Meeting polls allow users to invite people to vote on times that work best for them. Users can pick any number of available time slots as well as add teammates ahead of time to include slots when they are also free. The software handles time zones automatically. Results of the polls will show which time slot works best for everyone.
Payments, Integrations, and More
SavvyCal integrates with Stripe so users can take payments from the schedule links they share. This is handy if the user requires payment before reserving the meeting time. The integration allows for different payment methods including credit cards, bank transfers, Apply Pay, and Google Pay. It also has the option to collect sales tax, VAT, and GST automatically through Stripe Tax.
SavvyCal integrates with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCloud Calendar, and Fastmail Calendar. Users can set which among their calendars to store a meeting in. Other features include meeting buffer and limits, direct website embedding, and integration with many other apps such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
SavvyCal offers a free plan, a basic plan, and a premium plan. Users can opt to pay monthly or pay annually and get 2 months for free. Students and non-profits can avail of discounts.
The Free plan allows users to invite people to vote on a set of times to meet. Users can also overlay their calendars on other people’s scheduling links. The Basic plan at $12 /user/month includes all features in the free plan and additionally enables users to create individual and team scheduling links. The Premium plan at $20 /user/month includes all Basic features with white branding, Stripe payment integration, and shared access.
