nTask : Features and Strengths

Task and Project Management

nTask provides task planning capability with to-do lists, estimates, start and end dates, sub-tasks, and dependencies. Users can easily assign and collaborate on tasks with multiple task assignees, file attachment, document sharing, task commenting, and real-time notifications. The software also has tools to track task progress with different work views such as in a Gantt chart or calendar. Project planning tools allow users to create plans that incorporate timeframe, budget, billing methods, resource allocation, and work capacity. These lead to project visualizations that help improve organization, gain transparency, and optimize progress. nTask also incorporates a built-in team chat function for synchronized communication and collaboration without needing to leave the nTask environment. Teams can easily share updates, chat 1-to-1, or reply later.

Issue Tracking and Risk Management

nTask includes a built-in issue and bug tracking tool that enables teams to prioritize issues and then link an issue to a task or project. Teams can manage issues or bugs efficiently with different issue types, color coding, unique IDs, and planned/actual date and time entries. They can also add custom fields like dropdowns, checklists, formulas, and text fields to customize tracking and reporting. nTask’s risk management feature provides a risk register where teams can identify and document every risk a project or task faces. Features include risk assessment, custom risk matrices, filters, and custom categorization. Users can evaluate risks visually with matrix charts, assessment graphs, and impact and probability. From these, they can create risk mitigation plans, and share documents to keep everyone in the loop.
