Features, Benefits, Strengths
- Fast scheduling with advanced clash management – With ResourceGuru, users can add or delete, move or edit bookings in real-time. Changes in schedules are a given, but it is difficult to make those changes with spreadsheets. This application allows resource scheduling and updating the easy way. It also has an advanced clash management system that will prevent over-booking. Each resource has an availability setting while bookings can be placed in a waiting list, giving the manager an accurate way to plan capacities.
- One clever calendar for a single resource pool – A single calendar shows full visibility of who is working on what until when. It also shows projects, clients, and meetings, with an availability bar indicator to help the user maximize the utilization of resources as well as time. One calendar shows the schedule of people, equipment, meeting rooms or any other resource. It is simple to create resources, invite people in the app and set permissions. And this same calendar can be shared across the entire organization online.
- Team collaboration, personal dashboards and more – Each user in ResourceGuru is given an individual login. When project managers make bookings simultaneously, there is no danger of double booking. Clash management prevents over-booking while real-time information appears in each schedule update. Filters and searches make job matching and allocation easy. Each user also has a personal dashboard that provides information about his or her weekly load. Since the resource scheduling software is web-based, users only need an Internet access and a web browser. No downloads or installations required. The system is intuitive and user-friendly enough not to require any time-consuming training.
ResourceGuru online scheduling software offers four paid plans. The Mini plan for up to 10 people starts at $19 per month. The Basic plan includes for up to 30 people and is priced at $49 monthly. The Premium plan allows for up to 80, which costs $99 per month, and the Premium Plus starts at $99 for a minimum of 80 people. All plans include unlimited schedules for non-human resources, projects and clients. They offer a free 30-day trial period.
ResourceGuru can be used by companies of all sizes, and the bigger the staff and resources, the more it becomes helpful. It can be used by project managers, HR managers, and other business asset managers in industries such as marketing, creative agencies, IT companies, engineering firms, media, consultancies, research and universities.

ResourceGuru is a product of Resource Guru Limited based in London, UK. It is a privately held company founded in 2011 by Andrew Rogoff and Percy Stillwell. The co founders, or Vice Gurus, have worked in the web industry for many years. They know how problematic and inefficient it was to work with spreadsheets for resource scheduling, so they decided to build a better way. After designing their prototype and working with Platform45, a development team in Cape Town, they have come up with a great resource scheduling application. In January 2014, the company received an additional $870K of seed funding led by Index Ventures. They plan to use these funds in hiring staff, enhancing the product, and attracting more customers.
