Wrike – Workflows and New Custom Field Formats
Earlier in March, Wrike online project management announced updates that included table view enhancements and additional functionality in its custom fields. More recently, it again introduced new features to help its Enterprise users be able to track their projects more accurately and let the team move faster while keeping everyone updated. New Custom Field formats present additions to existing text and dropdown list formats. Also, powerful Custom Workflows provide teams and business the flexibility to structure how they work.
New Custom Field Formats
Wrike project management software helps its users see the big picture through information that is visible across teams and projects. Customizable views keep everyone on the same page. Project managers are able to track better project item information, metrics and all that matters with custom fields. Before, users only have a choice of text formats and dropdown lists. Six new Custom Field formats have been added and they are checkbox, number, percentage, currency, duration, and date. The simple checkbox format can be used for a yes/no type of criteria. The number format makes it easy to work with numeric values. Percentage and duration are format types that help in tracking and comparing, while currency and date presents data more clearly.
New Custom Workflows
Users can make Wrike really their own, exactly matching their unique process and business. The new Custom Workflows provide users with visibility on every stage of their work process. They can use customized Workflows in different business processes or team settings such as approval, content marketing, creative design, software development, bug tracking, and others. To get started, Account Admins can create a new or edit a default Workflow and its statuses from the Account settings page. After changes have been saved, the members of that account can use this new Workflow in their workspace.
Wrike online project management lets users assign a Custom Workflow to a team, folder or project to enable them to streamline their work process and let everyone involved know the status of every task. By right clicking the folder and changing the workflow setting, tasks in that folder will have the new custom workflow in the status menu.
Wrike provides its users with a real-time platform that help them better manage work and collaborate. With Custom Workflows and its relevant statuses, they can now create dashboards and views by stage. They can better track where work is proceeding smoothly and where it is piling up. Then, the team can react quickly and know where to work on next.
Easier, More Manageable Work
With greater visibility, day-to-day work becomes more transparent, efficient and manageable with Wrike. No matter what peculiarities a team or project brings, users now have the tools to adapt fluidly to dynamic settings and situations. With new Custom Field formats and Custom Workflows, users can track information accurately, speed up and even accelerate their business to gain or maintain that competitive edge.
