Teamwork online project management and task management software aims to be the most powerful and yet simple way to organize teams and get work done. Their development team does this month after month with the help of feedback from users. The June update comes with enhancements on already popular features such as timers, but also with subtler improvements such as faster response times, streamlined interface, and display restorations.
Upgraded Desktop Timer
Teamwork updated its mobile timers a couple of months ago. This time, it was the turn of the desktop timer application. Based on user feedback, several enhancements were made, with daily use coming into consideration. The Desktop timer can be opened in full view for greater detail or in compact view so as not to get too much screen space. Users can import from the Teamwork online system all upcoming tasks as timer items and use the desktop app as a priority list. It automatically puts the timer in pause when the computer becomes idle, but resumes it when the user starts working. It also remembers if the previous log was tagged as billable or if the timer was reset but kept open.
Restored Time-out Sessions
Teamwork online project management software now can remember more settings and session with its June update. With daily use in mind when improvements were made, the development team recognizes that busy users can be dragged away while in the middle of doing their work with the system. This inactivity will trigger a time-out for security purposes. But so as not to completely interrupt the work process, upon successfully logging back in from the popup screen, users will be just at the same screen before they left.
More companies are developing integrations with Teamwork. With the latest release, a new integration is with Time Doctor, a time tracking and productivity monitoring software. It monitors task completion through keystrokes, screenshots and applications. It can also display reminders to keep workers on track. Another integration is with Taco App, which provides a unified task list from more than 40 services displaying them into a single view. With this integration, tasks from Teamwork will be displayed as well.
This June update also included significant under-the-hood improvements to make the online project management software work and respond faster. The improvement does not appear on a single screen or item but applies across the system. This means that clicking a button, icon, or link will not keep the user waiting but will quickly present them with the information they needed as soon as possible.
Greater Control, Cleaner Interface
Teamwork project management and task management software has also included in this June update a most requested tweak, that of a scroll to top button. This button appears on the bottom right of the screen as the user scrolls down to see long project and task lists. A simple new feature provides greater control of what users want to see quickly. Another improvement is a simplified interface for adding new tasks. The streamlining is again based on daily use, so that adding tasks whether many or few will be easier for anyone to do.
