Projectplace cloud project management tool recently announced new features to better help users and their teams achieve their goals. The PM software is a valuable tool in helping people not only set goals and get day-to-day tasks done, but also monitor progress, control outcomes and create reports that improve planning and decision making. The latest changes now allow users, through project portfolio management features, to track and share work progress with a set of custom KPIs. Also, the Android app provides enhanced Kanban experience with more powerful boards. Other enhancements include new productivity integrations, printing options and more.
Track and Share Progress and Status on Custom KPIs
Projectplace project management tool recently introduced new custom KPI features for its Enterprise customers. Project portfolios provide users an overview of how projects are performing. Examples of key performance indicators (KPI) are time, cost, and quality, whose status can be seen for every project. Other indicators are project budget, cost to-date, and expected outcome. KPIs are important for measuring success as well as for setting direction. Now, account administrators can set up and manage KPIs in the account.
To set up their customized set of indicators, account administrators can select which of the standard KPIs, such as text, numbers, or status, will be included in the project progress tracking. Also, they can decide how they want to measure it and how frequent users would want to get reports from projects they want to monitor. As project and business goals change, administrators can also select which KPIs should remain available and which ones should be deactivated because they are no longer relevant. Deactivating a KPI, however, affects all portfolios as well as the status tab in all projects producing reports.
Checklists on Cards Available in Android App
Projectplace enables users to stay synced and in the loop while on the go with their mobile apps. Its Kanban board available in the mobile apps provides a visual representation of work and its items, represented by a card. A few months ago, the checklist feature on the cards enhanced the users Kanban experience, helping them structure different actions needed to complete before moving the card to Done. This feature is now available with the Android app, and soon with the iOS app as well.
Productivity Hacks through App Integrations
Users can work with the cloud project management tool together with their favorite apps through its many integrations. Integrating apps is one way of extending the functionality of tools to support particular business processes and workflow, share data and trigger actions. Users are not limited anymore with either/or options in their applications, but have the flexibility to use what is practical and sensible. Using the integration platform Zapier, Projectplace users can start an automated workflow each time a card reaches a particular status. It can also automatically send time entries from a time tracking app and record it to a card in the PM tool. To build this productivity automations, users need to sign up for Projectplace and Zapier, and then connect the Projectplace account to Zapier. From there, users can check out available integrations or create their own with the Zap Editor.
Other New Features
Projectplace also announced other new features which include new printing options even to larger A3 formats. This is useful for printing project plans in landscape format. More changes and enhancements are coming soon, and these include having a closer connection between activities and cards, and a new look-and-feel that will be more intuitive for users.
