Company Info

Planio is a product of LAUNCH/CO, a privately held web, design, and software agency based in Berlin, Germany, founded by Jan Schulz-Hofen, CEO. Planio was originally built for the needs of LAUNCH/CO, as they were not able to find a suitable project management tool for their own business needs. Unable to fulfill their requirements with existing products from the market, they built their own, and Planio was launched in 2009. Soon after, customers were requesting for it even after their project was already completed. They decided to share to the world this collaborative project management app that takes advantage of the flexibility and adaptability of open source, and make it better as time goes on.
