Odoo is a suite of open source business apps that aims to cover all business needs. From CRM and Sales, to project management, timesheet, inventory, accounting, and many more, it is a platfrom where over 1500 active members of the community build thousands of business applications that can seamlessly integrate with the other apps.   • Project Management and other Operations Apps – Odoo integrated business apps include several tools for efficient business operations. It includes Project, Timesheets, Inventory, Purchase, and Helpdesk. The project management tool allows users to organize, schedule, plan and analyze their project data. A kanban drag-and-drop view allows for grouping tasks easily at its correct project lifecycle stage. It also has a calendar view for checking the schedule and keeping deadlines, a Gantt chart view for keeping track of deadlines and progress, and a dashboard view for getting a good overview of the workload and the status of individual tasks. Project is fully integrated with the other apps, such as for tracking time across devices and platforms, for warehouse management, for improving supply chain and inventory performance, and for great customer service.
  • Communication, Sales, and Marketing Apps – The open source platform enables users to install one or few apps at the start, and install more as their needs grow. The suite is scalable and affordable, with the first 1 or 2 apps free to use, depending on the app. It has a group and private chat called Discuss integrated with all other apps or modules. The eSign app allows users to simplify the process of sending, signing, and approving documents online. Sales apps inlcude CRM, point of sale, quotations and proposals, and subscription management. Marketing tools include mass mailing, marketing automation, event management, and online surveys.
  • Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Website Apps, Custom Tools, and more – Odoo business apps cover a wide variety of business processes. It has apps for accounting, invoicing, and expense management. For human resource management, it has apps to manage recruitment, employees, fleet, leaves, and appraisal. It also has apps for manufacturing, such as MRP, PLM, equipment and quality management. Several website apps are available, such as a website builder, for ecommerce, blogs, forum, slides, live chat, appointments. The Odoo Studio is custom tool for creating, customizing, and deploying apps. Integrations are also available, such as from DHL, Fedex, Bpost, UPS, eBay, Easypost, USPS, and VoIP. It can be deployed in a public cloud, dedicated cloud, or installed on-premise. Professional services are also available for installation and implementation assistance.

Pricing

Odoo pricing depends on which apps will be used and the number of users. For example, using the cloud version of Project and Timesheet is free. However, using the on-premise version of the two apps for 1 user will cost $36 per month. A dedicated cloud version will cost a total of $108.80 per month. A 15-day free trial period is offered.
