easyprojects-logoEasy Projects‘ newly released version 9.4 offers updated features that primarily concentrate on improving usability for Activity Center. Most of the changes have been incorporated after receiving user feedback. Some of the new features and improvements are listed below.

Develop a New Project from an Existing Template

Easy Projects‘ new version has updated the Quick Creator panel, so you can now use a template when you are creating a new project. If you are using a template, then the newly created project will copy all the activities automatically. This is almost the same as duplicating the project. You can also mark any project as a template. All you have to do is change its status to ‘Template’. A template project is usually concealed from everything with the exception of the Activity Center. You are unlikely to find them on any report and they will not disturb your Resource Loading.

Your template list can be viewed and managed by going to the Quick Creator panel and clicking on the Template link or choosing the option of Templates.

Create New Sub-Activities at All Levels

This was the most popular feature that users had requested for the Activity Center. When you start moving your mouse over the name of any of the activities, you will see a new ‘+’ icon on the side of the activity. If you click on it, you will be able to add a new sub-task under the chosen activity. You will then need to type in the name of the task and press the ‘Enter’ button.

TIP: If you hit ‘Ctrl + Enter’ on a Windows PC, your task will be saved and another one will be added below it.

Move an Activity to a Defined Location Using the ‘Drag n Drop’ Feature

Previously, when you dragged any activity to the top of the parent, it would always land at the bottom of the list of activities. The new ‘drag n drop’ feature enables you to drag any of your activities to any place within the list, and once you drop it, it will remain in that precise location.

Copy Selected Activities to a Precise Location

If you are using batch operations and you replicate one or numerous activities, you now have the option to select the targeted parent, where your chosen activities will be copied.
