How to Become an Advertiser
To become an advertiser, you must submit your product for approval. Products are typically reviewed and approved within 3 business days.
Once your product is approved, you can set up pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns for select categories. Position within a given list is determined by the bid price, and the minimum bid is US$2. Please review our complete policies regarding use of this site.
In our top products articles, the highest bidders in a specific category are displayed in a list with their product’s logo and description. Available categories include:
The Administration Console
Once your product is accepted, the Administration Console is where you manage products and ads, view metrics, and add funds to your account. In the Administration Console, you can:
- Manage your products’ descriptions, related categories, and ad bids
- Upload screenshots and your logo
- View click statistics, such as the number of clicks, each click’s country/region of origin, operating system/browser used, and IP address
- Target users from specific countries
- View your account balance in real time, track payments you’ve made, and purchase PPC credits
- Empower multiple users to manage your account
Managing Your PPC Campaign
PPC funds have to be purchased before your ad will be displayed. You can purchase PPC credits via the Administration Console. These credits will then be used to receive visitors.
Whenever your ad is clicked, your account balance is debited in accordance with the bid value you set. Note that you can set a daily or monthly budget. This way, when your budget is reached, your ads no longer show up until the next day or month.
If your account balance reaches zero (US$0), or if your bid price exceeds the amount of funds in your account, your ad will go offline until you add funds to your account balance. You can opt to receive notifications when your account balance reaches zero, or any amount of your choice.
Only credit card payments are accepted. Wire transfers and checks are not accepted. When adding funds to your account balance, we recommend using our recurring payment options (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to avoid having to manually make a transaction whenever your account balance is low.
Ad Content Guidelines
In order to maintain high-quality and relevant content for our readers, we ask that advertisers comply with our editorial guidelines. These guidelines are as follows:
- Product description must contain no more than 250 characters
- Descriptions must not appear in all caps
- Using a competitor’s product name is not allowed
- Product keywords must be relevant to the product and/or the associated category
Click Fraud Prevention
In order to prevent fraudulent clicks, we have deployed a monitoring application to ensure our advertisers receive only legitimate clicks. This application detects every click’s originating IP. If your ad receives more than one click from the same IP within a short time, you will only be charged for one click.
If you suspect fraudulent clicks, do not hesitate to contact us so we can investigate and apply a refund if needed.
